Bob Noah: Songs About Every Day Life

I'm Robert Noah, Bob to most folks, a songwriter and guitarist from Clifton Park, N.Y. I started out as a kid on the front steps, quietly singing along to the radio. When I asked for a guitar, I got a plastic one, and it didn't survive its meeting with a tree. Eventually Mom put money down on a real acoustic, and I took over the payments. I haven't put the guitar down since. I love all things guitar, and there's always more to learn.

I never wanted to be a star. For me it was always about the music and how it makes me feel. Still, I've played in just about every setup there is: singles, duos, trios and bigger bands, including Myth, Strydyr, Contraband, Moxie, After Midnight, Fat & Bad and The Robert Noah Band. There were house-band years at my family's Spot-Lite Lounge, and a stint running sound for a Forties swing revue in Honolulu, where I learned that when things go wrong, it is ALWAYS the fault of the sound man.

These days I'm guitarist and singer for the duo Spellbound with Cyndie Wade, and for the party band Standing Room Only. Cyd and I have had a ball everywhere from The Georgian in Lake George to the Emmy's, dressed to kill.

Now I'm finally getting to one of my ancient goals: recording and releasing songs I've written over the last 50 years. It's an odd collection. Some are old, me new, some rock, some country, some humorous, some blue. Next up? A band that plays original music and a few well-chosen covers. I'm not a quitter. I'm finishing what I started.
